1. Create a custom irregular zone layout.
2. Check "Space around zone" in zone editor.

✔️ Expected result

Spaces should be present around zones.

❌ Actual result

No space is drawn around zones.

this is currently by design. The changes for the updated UI #8148 will bring this feature.

I guess you meant #8148
To clarify: #8148 does allow changing space around zone for custom grid layouts. It does not support space around zone for custom canvas layout.
