Steps to Reproduce:

1. Large Monorepo
2. Hover over syntax

Seeing similar problems in a very large monorepo. We primarily use remote environments, and Go to Definition pegs vscode-server's process to 100% CPU, which causes connection drops.

I'm still verifying at scale, but turning off typescript.tsserver.experimental.useVsCodeWatcher appears to solve the problem in my environment.

(Deleting 10,000 tsx files makes the experience a little better, so I think scale is definitely a factor.)

To help us investigate can you try collecting the TS Server log:

1. Set "typescript.tsserver.log": "verbose",
2. Restart VS Code and reproduce the problem
3. In VS Code, run the TypeScript: Open TS Server log command
4. This should open a large log file called tsserver.log

Look through that log file for errors or stack traces. If you can share the log, I can also take a look to see if anything stands out
