📝 Docs: Fix npm version badge when image doesn't load

Defs low priority, but an a11y consideration: if this image doesn't load, do they still see the actual number somehow? Or do they just see the alt text "npm version" ? Goal would be to ensure users know the version even if the image doesn't load, which would be a dynamic rendering of this badge, which would be hard, hence the low priority. npm version number isn't critical info here either so not a huge a11y concern, just nice to have

Yeah, the tricky point is sourcing the alt text from the correct logo without a network request. If the image isn't loading then calling to some npm API might not either!

There's probably a good way to dynamically do this with an import in code.

The fix uses prerelease versions when we should stick to main versions :( very close though!
