[Bug]: Gitbub Copilot provider errors

What happened?

When I configure GitHub Copilot the models list seems outdated and every call fails with

OpenClaw seem to have had this issue as well: openclaw/openclaw#1797

Expected behavior

Be able to use available models from my GitHub Copilot subscription

Steps to reproduce

Moltis running in docker deployed to a cloud VPS.

• Web UI: https://localhost:13131
• Go to Settings → Providers → GitHub Copilot → Connect
• Complete OAuth flow
• Send a message in the Web UI chat
• Error: HTTP 421 Misdirected Request
• Logs show: failed to fetch github-copilot models, using fallback catalog

I've tried the solution proposed on openclaw/openclaw#1797 but no lucky.

Anything changed on copilot side because even the command given seems no work anymore:

Thanks for your analysis and suggested fix @lijunle, any luck reaching the maintainer? I'm thankful such an open source approach to agents exists and all the work that goes into Moltis. But this seems a very table stakes issue that has available fixes that is not getting addressed/answered but I see a lot of activity to the repo. Wondering if there are any plans on this being addressed any time soon?

Wait for @penso PR ready to test. My PR is tested on my local box. You could cherry pick that and do local compile if possible.

Workaround that worked for me:

I was hitting 421 Misdirected Request, and what got me unstuck was explicitly setting github-copilot.baseUrl in both config files, not just one:

• ~/.openclaw/openclaw.json
• the active agent config JSON

I added:

After updating both configs and restarting the gateway, requests started working again.

Important note: this is a workaround that worked for me, not a proper fix. Changing only the global config was not enough in my case — I had to apply the same override in the agent config too.
