As you may have noticed, almost **100 strings** landed today in Firefox.

This is a good opportunity to note that strings landing at this point of the cycle are for **Nightly (149)**, while the deadline displayed in Pontoon is for **Beta (148)**. You can also check the completion level of your past releases from [this website](<https://mozilla-l10n.github.io/l10n-build-stats/>), for both desktop and Android.

How to prioritize missing strings:

- **148 will ship with the new AI Controls** (aka “AI Kill Switch”). This is going to get a lot of visibility. Make sure to prioritize translating strings in `browser/browser/preferences/preferences.ftl`. You can search for strings with ID `ai-control` to narrow it down (don’t know how? Check [Pontoon’s documentation](<https://mozilla-l10n.github.io/localizer-documentation/tools/pontoon/translation_workspace.html#search-options>)).
- In **148**, we’re going to run an experimental onboarding for some locales. To be included, prioritize the translation of strings in `browser/browser/newtab/onboarding.ftl` and search for IDs `onboarding-refresh`. This onboarding will ship across all locales starting with 149 in March.
- Finally, you’ll notice a large file called `ipProtection.ftl`. This is **not** targeting **149**, so it can wait compared to the other content. It’s for an experimental integrated VPN that will be initially available in a few countries, starting with the US. We’ll follow up with more information in the coming weeks.
