Description
Hi all,
This appears to happen only for a specific application called NoMachine which is a remote desktop viewer. When I switch to a workspace containing NoMachine with a remote desktop session running, the window does not focus in time and Aerospace jumps back to the previous workspace. By this point NoMachine is focused, but I am not in the right workspace. From here, I need to switch to the workspace containing NoMachine again and this time no forceful workspace jump occurs.
Steps to reproduce:
- Start a remote desktop session with NoMachine on workspace 1
- Go to workspace 2
- Go back to workspace 1
Expected result: Stay on workspace 1 with NoMachine in focus
Actual result: Forces a jump back to workspace 2.
Additional info
If I use an application like Raycast to focus an NoMachine specifically with a keybind, the same behavior as the above occurs. It gets focused but immediately jumps back to workspace 2. Is there any way to debug this behavior? It does seem to be strictly when a remote desktop session is in progress, and it doesn't matter which application I start from -- the forced jump happens regardless.
