a few more items to gang into this fix:

• test new templates
• projectTitle
  • disallow quotes,
  • generally ensure no injection attack vectors, maybe stringify
  • allow foreign chars
  • double-check conditional order

@Fil, i am allowing foreign characters into the title, but we currently disallow them from the folder name. i'm not sure what is "typically" done, would you, or others, ever expect to be able to use foreign characters in the folder name? i assume not, but wanted to check.

yes it's typical and usual to limit folder names to a limited subset of ascii (but not really great, to tell the truth). Let's say that it's fine to begin with this.
