What platform is your computer?

What issue are you seeing?

I was using the app in English but after the last update, the whole UI went to French with this "automatic detection" and it's impossible to go back to English, the language is not even showing in the list.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

I think if the main language of the computer is French you will see the issue

this is not duplicate! I can't switch lang on english!

if anyone want a solution, there's a way to fix it :)

1. set it to a random language, close & quit the codex app
2. open ~/.codex/.codex-global-state.json file
3. change the ”localeOverride“ to "en-US"
