Goal

To make available an official registry of Armenian geographic names as open data CSV or JSON

Tasks

The registry of official Armenian geographic names is published online by the Cadastre committee http://www.cadastre.am/en/geographical-names

Data provided as PDF file with 77 pages as table of geographic names

The tasks are:

1. Extract data table manually or programmatically
2. Convert data table as CSV and JSON files

Context

There is no much geodata about Armenia available. We have to convert existing non machine-readable data to create new datasets. Geographic names are one of such type of dataset.

Requirements

• create a public GitHub repository to store code and data under one of the free and open licenses like Creative Commons license or MIT license

Wishes

Please write your code as reusable code that could be launched by someone else later since we could need to update this dataset later.
