[BUG] Invalid Kubernetes version shown by the cluster #402

@jparrill

Description

@jparrill

What happened:

Trying to deploy some workloads on top of Microshift, we find that some operators need to validate the K8s version which works inside of OCP, and it´s showing a not correct one v0.21.0

What you expected to happen:

Once you execute a oc version it should show the real K8s version, something like that:

Client Version: 4.9.4
Kubernetes Version: v1.21.1

How to reproduce it (as minimally and precisely as possible):

  1. Deploy Microshift
  2. Execute oc version

Environment:

  • Microshift version (use microshift version):
MicroShift Version: 4.8.0-0.microshift-unknown
Base OKD Version: 4.8.0-0.okd-2021-10-10-030117
  • Hardware configuration: VM on x86
  • OS (e.g: cat /etc/os-release):
