Build failure in thirdparty sources

I am trying to build ADIOS2 using the AMD compilers (in particular amdflang). However my build keeps failing in the third-party sources with errors such as:

ADIOS2/thirdparty/ffs/ffs/fm/fm_internal.h:150:5: error: unknown type name ‘INT4’
  150 |     INT4 field_size;
      |     ^~~~

This first occurred on the latest pull, I then switched to tag v2.10.2 and got the same.

I am using OpenMPI compiled with the AMD compilers (both in PATH) and I have tried both a full AMD build:

cmake -B build .

and a mixed GNU/AMD build, overriding the C/C++ compilers and MPI-wrapped compilers:

CC=gcc CXX=g++ OMPI_CC=gcc OMPI_CXX=g++ cmake -B build .

both with the same result.

Do you have a recipe for building with AMD compilers including Fortran support?

Actually, I believe my OpenMPI installation may be faulty, apologies.
