It was pointed out to me that the build documentation in readthedocs does not work. One typo was:

cmake ../ADIOS2 -DADIOS2_BUILD_EXAMPLES=ON

and second, it wasn't clear that they need to provide an install path based on our instructions (so adios2 doesn't get installed in \usr\local.
