This repository is the central collection of screenshots for ownCloud software, organized by app and feature area. The images document the user interface of ownCloud products and are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license for use in documentation, marketing materials and presentations.
This repository is a community resource within the ownCloud GitHub organization. It provides standardized screenshots used across documentation sites, blog posts and promotional materials for ownCloud products.
Maintenance notice: This repository is in maintenance mode. New screenshots are added as needed but active development is minimal.
The master branch always contains screenshots for the latest stable release. Older versions can be found in branches.
When contributing screenshots, follow these rules:
- Crop images to show only the ownCloud UI (no browser chrome, URL bars or bookmarks)
- Use a viewport resolution of 1280x720 pixels (widescreen)
- Use Gimp's Pixelize filter (5x5 blocks) to obscure personal information
- Include a nice display name and avatar image
- All shots should be full screen (cropping can be done later)

The OSPO ensures transparent governance, license compliance, community health, and sustainable collaboration between the open source community and Kiteworks, which acquired ownCloud in 2023.
