This switches our HTTP calls from using
httrto usinghttpcacheso we can skip repeated API calls (and image downloads).Some quick benchmarking based on plotting the phylogeny with 11 tips from the vignette (in seconds):
The time saved should only improve with a larger number of repeated images.
