MongoDB announced that some lower-tier MongoDB Atlas clusters will be force-upgraded MongoDB 5.0:
Your M0/M2/M5 Atlas cluster(s) will automatically be upgraded to MongoDB 5.0 next week. Please note, this automatic upgrade will only impact your shared tier clusters (M0/M2/M5) and will not impact dedicated clusters (M10 or higher).
The CI test in the PR currently makes some tests fail; porting the fixes from Parse Server 5 to Parse Server 4.x does not solve the issue; further investigation is needed, see PR thread.
I'm closing this as "won't be added" since there has been no feedback on this thread for over a month. If anyone requires MongoDB 5 compatibility for Parse Server 4.x, please feel free to pick up the PR mentioned above and we can re-open this issue. In any case, we strongly recommend upgrading to Parse Server 5.0 rather than staying on Parse Server 4.x.
