Upgrade `lab` across repos for leak fix

The leaks reported in the tests appears to be a lab issue, an update should fix:

btw we tried this during the Etcd2 upgrade and came across issues, we downgraded it again in order to isolate the various problems we were having.

now that that's sorted we should try again.
