Can you help me use Waveshare pico 2.8 (2.8C T) and raspberry pi pico for this project? I want the value on the label to increase when the button is pressed on the screen for testing purposes.

It would help if you described the nature of the problem you're having. You need to use this setup file renamed to touch_setup.py. Then run some of the demos to get a feel for how the GUI works.

What should the file structure be like? I just want to use button labels and fonts on the screen. What should the file structure be like in the example below?

The directory structure must match that in the repo. The above will not work.

I suggest you start as described here with the files on your PC, Development and testing is done using mpremote mount .. After you have developed your application it can be deployed to the device as described here.

There are a number of benefits to this approach, postponing deployment until development is complate.
