LYWSD03MMC read out the Red Switch state

Hello,
Can you tell me some information about how to read the Red Conact status or the Counter status in Home Assistant? In my integration I am using Custom Component Passive Ble. It works, but nowhere I found information on how to do it. I have flashed the LYWSD03MMC and I would like to connect the Impuls counter to read out water consumption.

Home Assistant

• The 32-bit counter is reset by turning the battery off and on.
• The count goes from 0 to 4294967295, then again from 0 to 4294967295, and so on...
• When operating in BLE connection mode, the functionality of the counter is limited.
• It is not recommended to use it at high pulse repetition rates, since high counting frequency will quickly drain the battery.
  The maximum count is limited to about a hundred pulses per second. But such a count requires a large battery...
• Connecting the reed switch to the wires may cause interference. The input resistance to reduce the current consumption from the battery is more than 1 MOhm. When connecting the contact to the wires, it is necessary to connect an external resistance to the + battery and use an external power source.

All you have described is clear. I just don't know how I get Sensor "Counter" in my yaml file. The only types of sensor I found these:

In the device properties "Counter" and "Opening" will appear when an opening or closing event occurs and the thermometer transmits it. For the counter "Counter" will appear when the time you set in the configuration expires ("RS Report interval").
For "Switch" "RS Report interval" also works - this is the time after which the state will be transmitted after the previous event to duplicate the current state.

"Counter" and "Switch" are accepted only in BTHome format. This works in "BTHome" or "Passive BLE monitor" integration.

Other integrations for HA do not support "Counter" and "Switch".

You showed me how to proceed , thank you. I don't using BT Home at all, but I am reading the data using the ESP32 BT interface.
I'll try another step according to the tutorial. Thank you for your patience.

I just wanted to read out a certain byte recieved form the thermometer and use to show its value

In esphome, you can use this snippet to receive the counter and switch data. Remember to set beacon format to ATC
