Oh, this was a trip and a half. I dropped nginx-proxy
because I didn't know how to use it. Everything sits behind a nginx container that works as a reverse proxy now. A lot of the nginx.conf
was copy-pasted so I'm sure it can be improved.
And turns out you can't use the webroot method for wildcard domains, so you have to include each domain in the certbot command. Or do some DNS fiddly-whatsit.

Hey, manually inputting over 100 games is a baaad idea, especially when I keep tearing down my database. So there's a barebones migration script that retrieves my Steam library and seeds some basic info.

I was really struggling with the relational nature of my data and the lack of transactions. Mongodb is definitely more suited for stuff that can be encapsulated in a document... which mine is not. So I'm taking the opportunity to try out Postgres (jsonb!), and knex/objectionjs just to see how this combination compares to the behemoth that is Sequelizejs. The documentation is pretty good, and I really like how modern it feels to use. The only lacking thing so far is how there's no way to flatten associations on the parent model.
