What Yani wrote in that now broken link is for the sentence "Si copias código de otro paquete, asegúrate de reconocer a las personas autoras del código que reutilizas listándolos en DESCRIPTION con un comentario que indique que fueron autores del paquete original."

We can link to an example here. I think Agroclimatico used to do this with a function from a package that was archived and not maintained @paocorrales @eliocamp is this still true?

Ohhh it make sense now! Yes, we have code from a different package and the author is mentioned in the description. I should update that according with the dev guide as right now it doesn't say why the person is included there.
I can also try to remember the story about that 🙈
