• Index inconsistencies
  • Please see VersionReq with build metadata ignored? dtolnay/semver#107, Cargo confuses checksums of crate versions with + in them cargo#7180, Should publishes with versions only differing in metadata be allowed? crates.io#1059 -- We may need to make changes to crates.io in the future.
  • Some folks feel we should block metadata for new crates regardless, general consensus that we don't want to retroactively apply that to old crates.
• SSL issues
  • Please keep an eye out for any reports of serving expired SSL certs. Report at Spurious expired crates.io certificate on CI rust#63510 if seen. Will consider it resolved EOD Friday if no new reports have arrived.
• US Economic Sanctions
  • Public communication on this to come soon.
  • Team members should not respond to requests for advice or feedback on crates published to crates.io through communication channels targeted at the team, and should reply with something along the lines of "Please seek crate-specific help from the community, not from the crates.io administrators."
