json and postcard are fundamentally tied to different protocol paths. Since the legacy implementation is planned for removal, there’s no value in maintaining a json variant of the bidirectional protocol or a postcard variant of the legacy one. This PR explicitly decouples json and postcard, which were previously grouped under the codec abstraction.
