can you provide some more information so I can attempt to reproduce this?

Probably need the following (at least):

• where you installed python from
• python3 --version --version
• clang --version
• python3 -c 'import platform; print(platform.system())'
• python3 -m sysconfig (you'll want to attach this or pastebin this as it'll be pretty long)

(fwiw, I couldn't get the original report or this one to fail on mojave myself)

I'm very puzzled! I don't see -lstdc++ anywhere. clang what are you doing! Thanks for being responsive as well! One last thing, what version of xcode do you have? I happen to have my work laptop so I can poke at macos again :D
