"unable to seek to first item in journal" when user doesn't have journal read access

The app fails with a somewhat unclear error message unable to seek to first item in journal when the user you run it as doesn't have read access to the journal. (e.g. if it isn't a member of the systemd-journal group).

I ran into this too with the systemd unit file in the README which uses nobody.
