Summary of Changes

Hello @feeblefakie, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request is an automated backport aimed at enhancing the clarity of error messages within the object storage component. It specifically addresses an issue where the error message for exceeding blob size limits displayed an incorrect or generic maximum length. The change ensures that the error message now accurately reflects the actual allowed length for the data, providing more precise feedback to users.

Highlights

  • Error Message Accuracy: The pull request corrects the upper limit value displayed in an error message related to object storage blob exceeding its maximum allowed length. Previously, a generic Serializer.MAX_STRING_LENGTH_ALLOWED was shown, but now the specific allowedLength for the column is used, providing more precise feedback.

Code Review

This pull request is a backport that fixes a bug in an error message. When a blob column value exceeds the maximum allowed size, the error message was incorrectly displaying the maximum size of the encoded string instead of the maximum allowed size for the raw blob data. The change corrects this by passing the allowedLength variable to the error message builder, ensuring the user sees the correct limit. The fix is correct and improves the usability of the error message.
