Unselect a single

Correct me if i'm wrong, but it would seem there is no way to "unselect" your option in single mode? Is there a way to accomplish this? No rush, but would be really helpful. Thanks!

If you use the backspace key, you can remove the currently-selected item.

I just opened up a ticket for an addition that would provide what you're looking for, I believe.

Backspace wouldn't be intuitive when in a select drop down mode, I think
there would really be a lot of value in a blank/unset item to pick in the
list.

Anyone working on a [x]-button or similar for single items? The alternatives involving opening the dropdown and then selecting "clear" et al wasn't received well in our test group :(

The remove-button is there on single-select; I fixed it's styling in #1311 .
Eventually using alllowEmptyOption: true will also add the dropdown empty-choice for clearing the current value (#163)
