because this build depends on nightly for codecov and rustfmt checks I'm going to try an alternate approach that lets me honor those. |

it seems nightly is okay. ill revisit this if it becomes a problem. for now ci relies on it for rustfmt features |

As discussed, this Travis config change should just avoid failing builds if nightly fails, which often happens because of upstream changes.
(This PR is green even though nightly still fails, so it's working! 😄 )
