Remove the warn logging about params not annotated with `@ProjectedPayload` (4.2.x)

This removes the logging (added in #3300 and #3301).

Also add this detail to the appropriate section of the docs/release notes.

Note

Implementation notes:

• Simplify the supports method once the logging is removed (no need for the various if checks where the logging was in place)
