Title:
Paste and Keep Text Only Keyboard Shortcut Now Pastes in the Line Above
Description:
Since updating OneMore to Version 6.7.1, the behavior of the Paste and Keep Text Only keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+V) has changed. When the cursor is positioned at the end of a line, the clipboard text is pasted in the line above instead of at the cursor's location. This issue began immediately after updating OneMore.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Copy any text to the clipboard.
- Position the cursor at the end of a line or in the middle of a word or sentence on a OneNote page.
- Use the Paste and Keep Text Only keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+V).
Expected Behavior:
The clipboard text should be pasted at the cursor's location, not in the line above.
Environment:
OneNote Version: Microsoft® OneNote® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2412 Build 16.0.18324.20092) 64-bit
OneMore Version: Version 6.7.1 with OneNote 16.0.18324.20194
Additional Context:
Initially, I assumed the Paste and Keep Text Only shortcut was a Windows feature, as it works in other apps like Microsoft Teams and the New Outlook. However, I confirmed in the OneMore settings that it controls this shortcut in OneNote.
While attempting to paste formatted text as plain text using Ctrl+Shift+V, I encountered OneMore popups with error messages. Unfortunately, I did not capture screenshots and have not been able to reproduce the issue consistently. It appears to be related to the type of formatted content in the clipboard. If I gather more evidence, I will report it in a separate issue.
Attached is the OneMore.log file for further investigation. Thanks, as always, for your awesome work.
