I'm currently doing testing on thelio-b3 (Gigabyte board) and mira-b1 (Asus board). I also plan on testing an ASRock board on a test bench since it had the USB header power bug, as well as an MSI board since we also ship those.

On both thelio-b3 and mira-b1 so far, as soon as I plug the machine into AC power, the power button light begins doing the suspended "breathing" animation. When I turn the machine on with the power button, the power button light turns off and stays off. When suspended, the correct "breathing" animation plays.

I'm not sure if I'm seeing the correct fan behavior. the fans run constantly, even when the machine is just sitting idle. Old Io definitely let the fans turn off when the machine just sits idle. Perhaps system76-power does not yet support Io v2.x?

After adding the thelio-io-2 staging branch, I now have the correct version of the kernel but I am still lacking fan control. /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon6/pwm1 looks like it's always 0, whether I stress the system to warm it up or leave it sitting idle.

On the ASRock board, the power button light seems to be behaving a bit better.
When plugging in AC power, the light remains off (expected, since ASRock boards don't automatically power the USB headers)
Pushing the power button turns the machine on, blinks the LED bright very briefly, then plays a single "breathe" animation cycle, then turns on bright.
After that, turning off or suspending the machine makes the LED go back into "breathing" mode.

This is what I'm seeing on the MSI board in thelio-b5:
When plugging in to AC power, the light does the "breathing" animation.
After turning the machine on, the light turns bright and solid.
When powering off or suspending the machine, the power button light does the "breathing" animation. It goes back to solid after resuming or powering back on.
