This seems to be related to the following private issue.
When adding a new shape or connection, some events like diagramClick will no longer work.
Steps To Reproduce
Try clicking on a shape or zooming the diagram. The events will fire as expected. Afterwards, click on the “Add” button to add a new shape and then try the same operations. The events will not emit.
