[Tutorial] Youtube's problem is fixable

First of all i should say that this problem appears when you enable "youtube_via_relay" feature (which fixes restricted mode) on some ISPs.

This solution is for fixing buffering issue and making youtube site faster when you enable "youtube_via_relay".

I found why yt buffers at 0:59. I'm not sure but i think it's because of it uses mobile UI. When i somehow forced youtube desktop ui, it fixed the bufferrig problem and made the UI faster. Watch the video:

The Video

I tested it on Irancell and MCI, It worked on both of them.
This method even make mobile UI faster(if you use a mobile device).
I'm using 1.9.14 version.

1. Disable "youtube_via_relay".
2. Open Youtube website and wait to fully loads.
3. Enable "youtube_via_relay".
4. Make sure before editing the config.json (if you are using GUI version change the setting in advanced tab) disconnect the vpn then edit the config.json. After that you can reconnect the vpn.
5. Go back to that opened Youtube website.
6. Click on the Youtube logo on top left of website.
7. DO NOT REFRESH THE WEBSITE. If you want to refresh home's feed, click on the youtube logo.
8. Test a video.
9. Make sure you don't close that tab, or you should do all steps again.
10. If you want to open a URL, copy the video id or playlist id from the URL and paste it to Youtube search bar.

Outdated method:

Then pause the video and now enable the "youtube_via_relay" feature. Play that video and wait until you confirm that it loads. Then click on the YouTube icon at the top left. If it says "no internet access," click the retry button (do this until it loads the website). Done.
DO NOT REFRESH THE WEBSITE. If you want to reload the home feed, Click on the youtube icon on top left.

I'm using Irancell right now; I didn't test it with MCI. Edit: I tested it on MCI and It worked!

I am on ADSL from Mokhaberat (Iran Telecommunication Company). I do not experience the 59-second buffering issue — when a video plays, it plays normally. My problem is that with youtube_via_relay enabled, the YouTube website itself becomes extremely slow and loads a broken mobile-like UI, making it impossible to browse. When I disable youtube_via_relay, the website loads fast and normally, but videos will not play at all.

This means I am forced to constantly switch the setting: disable it to browse and find a video, then enable it again just to play the video. The forced desktop mode workaround does not help because the root issue is needing the relay for video data while keeping the site fast without it. It would be great if there were a way to selectively route only video traffic (*.googlevideo.com) through the relay while serving the main YouTube site directly.

It's because of mobile UI. You should try what i said. Desktop ui is way faster than mobile UI

so thats why it needs relay to load but with relay only loads 59 seconds of it
you probably watch videos that don't have the restrictions
videos without restrictions plays without problem

I said. When you ENABLE "youtube_via_relay" option, IT WILL TURN OFF RESTRICTED MODE. But on some ISPs it stops the video at 0:59, This solution is for FIXING BUFFERING ISSUE ON SOME ISPs and MAKING YOUTUBE SITE FASTER.
