Lets expand this to include that there is https://github.com/protocolbuffers/protobuf/tree/main/rust on the way that will support all of the newer protobuf features that prost does not have.
We also need to include that security fixes are still a top priority and those we get done ASAP. Otherwise, I think this is a good approach 👍
