Online OTA update fails on Magisk reboot after reinstall #9477

Description

@bugith

NOT a root detection issue.

NOT ask for instructions.

NOT an issue about installed modules.

Device: Nothing Phone (1) (this device is using A+B slot/boot partition mechanism)
Android version: 15
Magisk version name: opjohnwu.magisk
Magisk version code: 30400
No modules but Ramdisk
How I update:
1 - See in System Updater that an OS update is available (let's call it NOS-3.2-hotfix3).
2 - Go to Magisk, update Manager app first, then Magisk itself [Direct install (recommanded)] OK. Reboot from Magisk when prompted, OK.
3 - Back to Magisk: Uninstall (Restore boot partition - OK)
4 - Back in System Updater: Download/Install update OK. In the end I don't reboot when prompted. Instead, I go back to Magisk to reinstall (option "To inactive slot (after OTA"). Magisk terminal log shows DONE/OK. Go back to main Magisk screen and standard restart from here.

Boot loop, roughly 5 times, then boots OK, but android Settings still shows NOS-3.2-hotfix2 is installed. Tapping this info opens the System Updater that still show the Reboot button displayed in the end of step 4. Tap the Reboot button, get an error message stating update failed and proposing to reset/restart the update process.
Check Magisk is still not installed
Accept the installation in System Updater, reboot from there in the end.

Then after I have to [path/]adb reboot bootloader and [path/]fastboot boot [path/]Magisk-Patched_3.2.HOTFIX3_Boot.img if some guy kindly drops a link to download on XDA.

This happened for each hotfix1, 2 and 3 (which were/are partial updates).
The last time the whole process worked fine was for the (full OTA) NOS-3 to NOS-3.2
