Splash screen freezing when switching from Gamescope to KDE #3847

Describe the bug

When I switch from Gamescope to KDE, the system freezes most of the time on the splash screen. If i type or do anything, I can hear interactions happening, so the whole system doesn't crash, and if I turn off the display and on again, I can see the desktop, but sometimes without the mouse working properly. If I turn the display off and on again, it works like expected most of the time.

Sometimes I get into KDE directly, but with only the wallpaper showing, and no mouse or any other interactions working. Turning the screen off and on also works in these cases.

I'm not sure if this happened after an update, the first time I saw this was after not using the device for a couple of months, before doing any updates.

I have tried to rebase to the testing branch, but that didn't solve it either.

What did you expect to happen?

Should have gotten straight into KDE without issues

Session Logs

This is log output after booting to GameScope, then switching to desktop mode, with the issue appearing (frozen desktop, not splash), and turning the display off and on again.
