Isn't there a better way to add any other app and use them in the select source command? Or do you really need to maintain this list with all possible apps?
Unfortunately not at the moment. Having them user-editable / uploadable is planned (ETA June).
For Nvidia Shield TV it's possible to retrieve the installed apps. Just have to understand what OpenHAB did and port it to Python...
For the generic Android TV remote protocol I'm not aware there's a way. Hopefully Google will also open up the remote protocol after this announcement (yeah, I know, dreaming on...): https://www.theverge.com/2024/5/15/24157154/google-home-api-matter-smart-home-chromecast-google-tv

Adding the Quickline TV App (a Swiss TV Provider) to the apps and idmappings.
