Problem or Use Case

Hello.

Let’s say a user wants to start a microblog with Memos and allow people to comment on his posts. However, commenters should not be able to write their own posts, only comment on existing ones.

Proposed Solution

It may be an additional role for user accounts. Users with this role can comment on existing notes that they are authorized to view. However, they cannot create their own notes.

An additional feature here - let the note's author enable or disable comments for his post.
