Reproduction steps

I installed extension, then I installed the script. After that, I opened Discord, and the trash can next on the search box never appears.

Actual results

Sometimes I use this script to delete messages. However, today I tried to install this script via Tampermonkey on Microsoft Edge (and I tried on Google Chrome) it did not work. I did every steps correctly. I installed extension, then I installed the script. After that, I opened Discord, and the trash can next on the search box never appears.

Expected results

I need this trash can to delete my messages automatically.

this is not an ideal solution, this method can work (for me) until the official script gets updated.

By pasting the JS code directly into the browser console, the delete icon will show up, and we can delete messages normally as before.

Google requires a second, explicit confirmation from you. Next time do a bit of digging use your brains. It's not that the script is not working. It's that you didn't take into account Google's recent security updates like manifest 3. Had you considered that you might have solved the puzzle.

## How to Enable Userscript Permissions

Here are the methods to get your scripts running.

Method 1: The "Allow User Scripts" Toggle (Recommended for Chrome 138+)

This is the newer, preferred method.

1. Right-click the Tampermonkey icon in your browser's toolbar and select Manage Extension.
