History.Charged/DischargedEnergy with CAN bus batteries

These two values are vital to integrate the Victron Multiplus into very famous Home Assistant to report the energy flow from/into the battery and do further analysis. But they are both just zero. I got the information that this is an issue for CAN bus connected batteries, which is the preferred way without real alternatives?

I would really vote for a fix of that. As I can see the energy flow in VRM the numbers should be available somehow also for my system.

Yes, I totally agree. I am also missing these values in Home Assistant. I Am using Pylontech batteries and read somewhere, that these don't report these values through CAN. But like Jens said, they are visible in VRM and on the Cerbo-GX GUI, so they must come from somewhere...

What type of battery are you using?

Its a DIY battery based on a EEL kit with a Seplos BMS

I am using Pylontech batteries too, it would be really helpful to have these values directly via modbus.

However, there's a workaround in homeassistant:
You can create two integration sensors, which will calculate the kWh energy flow to and from the battery based on the battery power value (pos and neg), which is accessible, with the help of two helper sensors.

But for the future I would also prefer the clean integration.

I was trying this code: https://communityarchive.victronenergy.com/questions/266290/include-battery-data-in-home-assistant-energy-dash.html fixing the indents and duplicated power_discharge name but didn't succeed. Writing this reply I see, that also the unique_id is the same for both sensors, didn't change that yet. Maybe I will succeed also if I change that in addition ...
