This PR aims to update the CI framework as mentioned here: #112 (comment).
The commit messages indicate which functions were used. The readme initially didn't want to build because the url of the image seems to give an error (try for yourself: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/27/20140427Iris_versicolor1.jpg/320px-20140427Iris_versicolor1.jpg)
I've replaced that url with another of (I think) the same photo:
