Feedback on first test #101

Description

I tried WooStarter and have the following feedback:

  • the theme doesn't look like an e-commerce store, more like website with "some" baked-in e-commerce functionalities. That's not the way how we can compete with Shopify, looking like a regular website.
  • most recognizable of an e-commerce shop: the header. I would rather see "real" e-commerce headers, like a seperate navigation for product categories; and some navigations on the top-header (yes, multiple navigations), and a search field. The difficulty: what about seperate navigations on mobile?
  • the single product page is rather a copy of a classic single product page. I guess Woostarter will be a highlighted FSE theme, so i guess it should highlight the capabilities of FSE, and not copying the classic layout. Certainly if we look at the mobile approach, on classic the title is always below the image. In you compare this with real-life e-commerce sites (or the bigger ones), it's hardly the case. It's mostly first breadcrumb, then title, then image. With FSE it's very easy to do this; it should be hightlighted and really be designed with mobile-first approach
  • i know WooStarter is a starters-theme, but doesn't mean i can not be attractive. I'm not that overwhelmed after my first try.

I don't know if there are any figma or graphic frameworks of Woostarter, but happy to advice here.
