This isn't reproducible on linux, and this only rarely happen on mac os X. Apparently the proxy exits by itself...

double while loop for blocking select

Closed by 13b4684 - intermittent failures of test
The problem was that a concurrency issue could execute the SIG{CHLD}
handle roughly at the same time we receive the exception on the PIPE
select() is interrupted and needs to continue after that, instead of
making us fall of run(), terminating the proxy and all its services.
