Possibility to set XFS temp location via config/environment variable?

Unfortunately not every .exe can run on my work machine and as a developer, I have a special directory I should install and run things from, which I do with node.exe.

However, yarn is creating child processes in the temp directory like: C:\USERS\CARL\APPDATA\LOCAL\TEMP\XFS-<RANDOM>\NODE.EXE which I can see comes from here the code here.

I can see inside the function, it makes use of os.tmpdir() and then calls toPortablePath (here)

I couldn't spot any way to override this without completely changing the os.tmpdir() with a different temp location, which I'd ideally not like to do.

It could be a nice option to allow an override of this in yarnrc?

There is currently no way to only override that path without changing the TEMP folder (e.g. TEMP="C:/tmp" node)

If this is only for exe files >=3.0.0-rc.1 switched back to .cmd files

yarn set version 3.0.0-rc.5
