This PR follows the metadata approach as encouraged by firebase sdk itself. See the linked issues for details

Yes, we're using this change in production and it seems to be working flawlessly for us

Edit: It's working for the example app also

Is it possible to set a notification channel properties through the notification object passed to the PushNotification.localNotification method at runtime? (similar to group option)

Also is it possible to define a new channel at runtime?
