Android: Option to migrate all accounts and settings to a new device

@bjorn3, can you give more detail about your use case, and why it's not answered well by something like Apple's "Quick Start" (or a similar feature for Android devices)?

I didn't use the android counterpart to that option as I wasn't sure what exactly it would and wouldn't migrate. And didn't know if it would send any of my data to google.

It sounds like you're migrating from one Android device to another. What is your experience like with other apps? I don't yet see a strong case for spending significant engineering effort on this, but it might be worth keeping this issue open to track interest in such a feature in the future.

With signal it was a matter of selecting the option to migrate from another phone, scanning a qr code and clicking through a few times. Matrix and thunderbird required scanning a qr generated by the web/desktop client. Bunch of other apps allowed exporting/importing settings as a file. A couple I only needed to login again on a single account. I can login on all my zulip accounts again. It is just a bit more work than I hoped.
